The eMoms Network, a Tahitian Noni International Distributor, is a structured support system for moms caring for young children. A large array of content related to babies, birthing, childhood and motherhood can be found on the seven sites that make up the eMoms Network. In addition, members can join the eMoms Network Work@Home program and begin earning income from home as a Tahitian Noni International Distributor.

The eMoms Network wanted a professional appearance, while implementing a large quantity of scrapbook-like clip art images. Additionally, all aspects of the site had to be controlled by eMoms Network via a web-based control panel. Work@Home Members also received branded versions of the site for use in their business, so we had to create a way for all seven sites to be branded by possibly thousands of distributors.

Our first step was to create brand identities for each of the seven sites in the eMoms Network. We started with the primary eMoms Network identity. The eMoms Network brand had to be unique and also simple, so that they could use the brand on a variety of mediums including t-shirts, hats, pens and other collateral.
After finalizing the brand, we began planning the design of the sites. We broke each site down into common categories such as: Health, Safety, Noni, Resources and Features. This architecture would allow consistency across sites that would be apparent on the navigational drop down menus. We were able to combine web artwork, clip art images provided by Graphic Garden and stock photography successfully. Each site in the network of sites, uses different background colors and border images in order to make a visual distinction between the seven sites.

The data model for the eMoms Network was surprisingly large, because we had to give the eMoms Network the capability of changing virtually everything. Quotes, Articles, Images, Newsletters, Users, Recipes, Custom Pages and a dozen more page elements are customizable through a web-based control panel. Adept Developer implemented ActivEdit, by CFDEV.com, in order to give the eMoms Network HTML editing capabilities without learning the language.
The eMoms Network Work@Home allows members to refer potential distributors to their privately branded version of the eMoms Network of site. Because there were seven sites a simple cookie would not work as a method of maintaining state. The final solution required a small hidden window which set cookies on all seven sites for the visitor enabling state management across all seven sites.

We complimented the top navigation with a variety of clip art and increased member usability by adding drop down menus to the top level navigation.

The eMoms Network also chose to use our Peregrine mail software to power their e-mail newsletters. By using Peregrine, the eMoms Network can easily send out newsletters that maintain the same look and feel as their website. In addition, links that users click on from the e-mail are tracked so that the eMoms Network can determine which topics are successful in their e-mail newsletters.
